Vintage fly-in and BBQ August 2025

Last year I acquired a vintage model ready for the Club Vintage fly-in and BBQ. By all accounts the day was a resounding success. Unfortunately due to holiday commitments I was unable to attend. However, a couple of members sent me lots of pictures and here are my selection, that I hope are representative of the day.

Derek Woodley – Vic Smeed “Chatterbox”, an Aeromodeller 1958 plan. Flown single channel (rudder only) PAW 049 diesel.

Derek Woodley – own design 9’ span slope soarer with F&M Hercules valve based reed Tx. This old gear is still serviceable and flown occasionally but on 27mhz! Picture also showing MacGregor single channel converted to 2.4Ghz
