ASHURST CONTESTS
RES (Rudder, Elevator and Spoiler 2m span)
After missing a round do to the extended period of bad weather, the 2025 RES competition continued on the 29th June. The top places are closely fought, and all enjoyed the flying.
Will continue on one Sunday every month until the end of September, weather permitting.
eCaprice
The 2025 eCaprice competition was well suited by the conditions on the morning of the 27th April with glorious weather and huge thermals before lunch. There was some attrition of the delicate models of traditional tissue and balsa construction. It will run one Sunday every month until the end of September, weather permitting.
COOMBES CONTESTS
The 2025 competition for up to 2.5m span electrically launched gliders has begun and will run at Coombes, twice a month on Thursdays at 1300 for around an hour, until mid September. A simple height limiter is required. The club has spares available and they are easily fitted on the day. Contact the glider representative if you need to borrow one.
