Biplane and triplane fun

Prompted by the forecast of a calm evening Les Crane had the idea of an impromptu biplane session on 25th May and placed a post on the Happy Flyers WhatsApp group. Four flyers brought along biplanes – and a triplane. Grahame Pearson, John Wase and Les brought SE5a’s, Grahame and Mike Croll Tiger Moths and Mike also brought a Flair Baronette aka Fokker DR1 triplane.

All flew well. The Tiggies flew together in very, very loose formation. A dogfight between the Fokker and an SE5a or two didn’t quite materialise when the Fokker and its owner fled for the safety of home!

A very enjoyable evening was had by all.
