Competition Season Begins – sort of

Yesterday the club’s competition season should have begun with the mid-week gliding competition for gliders with a span of less than 2.5m but the weather decided that high winds and rain would be much better and the first round has been cancelled. The gliding competition runs throughout the summer till mid September taking place every other week so there is still plenty of time – let’s hope the weather is kinder in future weeks.

Today we should have also had the first of our power competitions but with the wind still being rather fresh and there being rain in the air that too has been postponed to next week.
