Peter Plank Remembered

On September 10th SRFC held a day’s flying at Coombes to remember Peter Plank who died a year ago, a member of the club and long term Membership Secretary of the club. Peter loved Coombes, he was chatty and made a wonderful Membership Secretary as he found out so much whilst chatting to potential new members. He flew both power and gliders but gliding was a specific interest of his.

Lots of his models remain in the club and one of the aims of the day was to fly his models.

Peter’s old models and their new owners.

The winner of the gliding competition was Paul flying one of Peter’s models, which was very appropriate.
